Two pack is two pack. Nice for the money
Wife and I wanted pair of kayak’s for lake to relax with. For the money this looked best bet. Brother said look for back rest and decent size like 10’. This had both, ordered end of Nov 2021 and arrived just after Christmas. Obviously cant use in water yet but I looked them over and took some photos. Quite nice tho not exactly like description. Storage hatch as you see is near cup holder in front of you which we are fine with. Paddles seem decent and it is not too heavy, 50 lbs sounds right. Handles on sides and front rear grab handles also nice. Other than just the one color choice they appear to meet expectations.Shipping…not so much. Expect them to get scuffed up and roughly handled which I did. One in pretty good shape, other not so much. Both got some minor scuffs which we would end up doing ourselves with normal use but I did contact Lifetime Products warranty via email about the one kayak excessive damage. Has a pretty deep line, might even be a crack about 3 to 4 inches long and some pretty hard deep damage on bottom near center like it was spun on gravel. Photos show what I’m talking about. That was shipping damage and unfortunately hard to prevent assuming they get moved thru several cross docks and multiple trailers on way to destination. Pity but will see what support says can do. I’m hoping replace but then fear repeat damage or repair myself with instructions and some discount. The other unit just had some light scuffs on bottom near nose end from being pushed around.UPDATE: 1/22/2022 (note last two photos-much better) after contacting manufacturer they were willing to resolve issue but asked I contact seller (Amazon) first. Did that, Amazon sent another pair. These shipped via a different carrier and came double wrapped with hardly a scratch tho handle at rear on one was cracked. I swapped handle with one of the very damaged ones from first order and have two perfect kayaks ready to go. Still awaiting for the returns to be taken back, the carrier that delivered this set scheduled that for following week which is odd but whatever. Overall I again feel the product is great and good value but shipping these is hit or miss. I noted recently these are also sold thru tractor supply and may be a viable option to purchase thru with less damage from shipping or at least allows you to check them over before bringing home. They are wrapped in nothing but a couple heavy vinyl plastic bags…first set only had one bag, second set double bagged which seemed to be the main difference in damage vs no damage from shipping and handling.May 2022- Had them on water several times now. Scupper plugs a good idea- say 4 if you want to keep water out. Padded seats a must, found some that dont slip and used the scupper plug thru loop on seat cushion to keep with kayak Incase of falling off or taking a swim. Very stable, not super fast but relaxing for sure. Picked up two stretch tie cords to keep paddle with kayak in case of drop or swim, etc. Overall still happy with them. Looking for better way to tote to lake now. Pain to hoist into pickup truck bed and trailer gets in way at lake shore. Thinking dolly cart for scupper plug holes and trailer behind our golf cart. Shall see soon.
