OK, here is what I did.....I called people that I knew bow hunted and they all had real good advice about spending lots and and lots of money. Just buying the bow alone was a BIG DEAL. I had already spent two or three weeks researching bows and all the other stuff. Just figuring out my draw length and pull poundage was an ordeal. When I got thru with all that stuff, then I knew I needed something that would meet all my necessary requirements....by the way I didnt even know what was minimum draw poundage for hunting legally in my state------40 By the way. I then spent hours and hours on amazon and other web sights researching bows. I slow whittled them down to the raptor. I slowly figured out that I didnt want to buy every component separately especially because of my inexperience. Matching each little part to a specific base bow ie (and forgive me if I dont call everything correctly) string quieter's, decellerators, whisker Biscuits and so on. I knew that time was passing and it was quite overwhelming. Based upon my research it seemed that it all came down to the Raptor. It was very adjustable both pull length and draw poundage and it came in a kit ( all the stuff I needed to start shooting). I received it and I didnt put it together. This is when I did take the advice of a long term bow hunter and took it to a person who tuned bows. I let him put it together and call me. I picked it up a little over two weeks ago. When I picked it up he double checked my pull length and sighted it in. I then started practicing with it. The first couple of shots were good but I kept moving the sights but couldnt get it sighted in. I finally reached the end of the sight scale vertically. I must at at this point I have never moved the sights left or right from its initial sighting in. I took it back to the professional and discussed my issue with him and shot some arrows. He said it was something like a down turned arrow or blah blah blah (i say that because again I do not have the vocabulary to explain what he really said. He corrected the sighting by pushing and pulling and resetting the sighting circle to the center again. I shot some arrows and again I was sighted in. Now for the last week I have only adjusted the sight once. and I am placing the first three or so arrows withing 5 inches of each other usually bulls eyeing what im shooting at with the first one. I think that this bow needs a few days of shooting as a break in period. Then after a few days sight it in again. I almost didn't leave a 5 star because of this but I reconsidered after thinking about my arrow thru the apple at thirty yards. I am leaving a picture of this because I am knew to bow hunting and am very happy with the results. In the picture the arrow went thru the top of the apple leaving a trench in it. You have to look closely at the apple to see it because the arrow isn't stuck thru the apple. I am up to forty yards and hitting very accurately. I have the draw length set at 27.5 and the pull is 51. Over all this bow is performing excellently after the brake in period. I added a second pic to show the first shot wasnt a fluke...I hit just below the apple and moved it to the left then hit again just below but to the apples left. ;-)
